12" Speaker recommendation for a Mesa Thiele 1x12" ported cab?

Maybe there isn't one for this cab. Or find a better cab?

Currently using the Avatar Faital neo speaker in the cab and it doesn't get the low end I am looking for so:

Is there a better choice of speaker for the cab?

Should I get a different cab and put the Faital in it?

Or skip both and buy a different cab with speaker all together?

Playing rock at typical E tuning or sometimes drop D.

Depends on your definition of "low end", what do you have in mind?

That driver has average specs, so you're not going to find anything much better. Your problem is that the cab is too small to go low with good efficiency. You need to try different cabs to find one that works for you, and don't limit yourself to 1x12s. If you're going to go loud and go low you have to go big, or stay home.

I vote for a different cab.

There is no guarantee that changing drivers would get what you want.
In fact, the smart money is on you being even less happy after a driver swap.

Cabs and speakers are designed to work together as a tuned system.
Changing one component of that design could throw the whole thing out of whack.
You could get lucky and it will give you what you want.
But without running the numbers, you are only making an uneducated guess.
