15/66 4ohm fearful ????

People really need to try the 8 ohm 3015LF based cabs. They are way, way louder than people think with 300 watts

Good. The flaw in your original quest was that let's say your amp give twice the power at 4Ω that it does at 8Ω, in order to be twice as loud you'd need TEN TIMES the 8Ω power to get twice as loud. Your gain would be, as RickenBoogie poster, would be insignificant.

It's not insignificant. But whether it's enough of an advantage to worry about given how cheap power is getting is arguable, when you make sacrifices to get the 3015LF down to 4 ohms (which Greenboy has already talked about--slightly less low end, particularly).

I think there are more than a few tube amps that don't like 8ohms. Someone mentioned the SVT. Fender too.

I'm sure most of them go for 1212/66 or 1515/66 setups or pairs of cabs if they're stuck with the 4 ohm impedance limit, but it would be cool to be able to do a single 4 ohm fearful if drivers were available.
