if you were in the states i have a boss odb3 and an electro harmonix bassballs that i never use anymore and would sell. oh well....both are fun pedals and get my approval...then again it all depends what you intend to do, as stated by the other posters.

i play LOTS of jazz fusion, a fair amount of funk and a good amount of alternative rock, hard rock, and rock. i live in a hole named tasmania, its a silly tiny island and most of the local music stores only have guitar stuff, i did see a digitech bass synth wah once a few months back. :p

Hmm, is that $150 Australian? That limits your choices, you could probably get a digitech bass synth wah, I have one and it's pretty funky :) If the prices are really that bad down there you'd probably be better buying online through sites like www.allansmusic.com.au or Invalid Link Removed. I used to live in a small NSW country town, so I understand the pain of tiny music shops and their grossly inflated prices...

well, what i do is buy from the US i might buy a $120 US pedal with $20 US post, covert that to australian and its 151 :)

The 105Q is a quality pedal, if you can see yourself using a wah even a little, it is worth it.

If you want to bring in the noise: get a fuzz, on a budget the EHX LBM is awesome.

If you want to bring in the funk: envelope envelope envelope... filter that is... EHX Q-trons are awesome... not so much the mini or micro though
