18V Carvin Bass chip?

yeah, its called the SNAGG and it is essentially a lo-jack for your bass. I just purchased an lb76 and asked the same question. Its an ID for your bass that can be scanned if it is stolen to prove its really yours.

Does anyone know about a "chip" in the 18v Carvin Lb75 or Icon's that goes out? Part #JRC2132D. Never heard of this before, can you shed some light on the subject? :help:

If you are talking about the preamp, that part number is for the opamp that operates it. I'm not farmiliar with that one in particular.

The SNAGG chip is something else entirely. It's a transponder like the ones that are put in pets sometimes.
