Fender Telecasters were issued with straps that were a brown two-piece sliding shoulder pad design at least until the early sixties. Apparently the same design was issued with Stratocasters and Precision Basses in black. My question is, were the brown straps ever issued with Precision Basses in the mid-fifties? I know the way Fender was run back then that anything was possible but if any Fender historians know definitively one way or another, I’d like to know.
