Here's a killer investment piece. I have a '58 Pbass I'm wanting to move that's in about a strong 8/10 condition. It's all original down to the last screw. The bass plays amazingly well due to it's very low action. The neck is nice and thin too, feels awesome. The frets are in excellent shape. The weight of this P is average about 8.5 lbs. The truss rod is very functional. The tone ranges from very warm thump the zingy highs. The pickup is very hot in this bass with a lot of P-growl. Both body and neck dates to 8/58. The serial number is 29XXX. Comes with HSC.
I'm going to try to get pics up but still trying to figure out how to reduce the size so I can get them on this site. In the mean while if you're truly intersted let me know and I'll send them via email. I need to get $14,500 for her.

That my friend is a bass!! This is the bass dreams are made of....maybe if I got a second mortgage.....or sold my car....(still be short LOL).These have made quite a jump in $ the last 5 years so ifthe trend continues it could be a 20k bass in 3 years (spiel:rolleyes: to the old lady)

Amazing bass and condition. There can't be many of these historic pieces left in all original condition. If I were rich instead of good looking, I would write a check and feel I stole this beauty.

I can do this if your a serious buyer. I hate to disturb the setup of this bass and risk putting more nicks in the instrument upon disassembly. I guarentee it's 100% original or I'll refund 100% money back but once again if your serious I'll take it apart and get you the pics you need. I did take this instrument apart when I first got it and distinctively remember everything was correct. As a matter of fact I was first to take it apart. This means nail holes under the guard in the correct place, pencil dates 8/58 matching between body and neck, solder joints virgin, pot codes correct (304-825 if I'm not mistaken), and pickups black bobbin with raised A-pole. I've got several of this era basses and have sold/been through many more. I know without a doubt all the nuances of these beasts. Let me know. I'm here to please.

You just described/defined all the problems I have owning this arsenal. I generally watch TV with one of these wonderful instruments next to the TV so I can appreciate every curve and contour. In many cases I don't even know what's on TV at the time.
