Just picked one of these up to use as a backup. Peavey has it listed in the manuals section, but the link is broken. Anyone have a .pdf of the manual?

I bought one of these amps last night to give it a go. Seems to work fine. I'm just bumping this thread to see if anyone has any information about them at all (a manual or schematic would be great). I bought it as a start to a bass rig loosely inspired by DFA1979.

I'm jealous -- the Standard is a killer-sounding amp, and mine didn't have the master controls.
I bought one with a master off eNay, but it arrived DOA...
How you set it up will depend on what sound you're after.
For me, I plugged into the "Normal" channel and dialed in a nice clean tone.
Then I plugged into the "Effects" channel and dialed in a cool distortion.
Where it gets fun is plugging into the series or parallel inputs.
Parallel will let you mix your clean and dirt channels together.
Series will send your clean signal INTO the dirt channel and give you massive overdrive.
For DFA1979 sounds, I'd play with series. It'll be loud and ugly.

My next goal is to track down a Traynor fridge cabinet to pair with this amp.
I bought it off a woman who said her late husband had their son send it to him. Apparently it's a 1972, but I haven't been able to find a serial number on it. I probably paid a little too much for it, but everything costs extra in my area where this stuff simply doesn't show up often. I'm glad I grabbed it.

Yes thanks - Still loving mine, but watch out for the ground lift. The power switch has two "ON" positions, one of which is a ground lift. Got zapped a few weeks ago. Pulled out my multi-meter and sure enough, one position shows 120V between the guitar metal parts and ground. The other position showed zero volts.
