Letting go of this beautiful 1971 Guild Starfire in walnut finish. It's setup nicely and plays really well... sounds great too. Currently set up w/ a set of Labella short scale flats (with the exception of the long scale E string - looks ugly but plays fine). Only issue is that there are two very small holes that were filled w/ dowels on the back (see photos). Story goes like this - back in the day, the original owner was in a Polka band and the day before they were set to embark on a tour, he realized the bridge was lifting, so he but 2 bolts through the bridge and ran them through the back of the bass. It held that way for 45 years, until the next owner bought it and had it fixed by his luthier. I bought this bass from him. The 2 holes are strictly cosmetic at this point, and you can barely see them. The bass plays well and sounds wonderful. Comes with original (pretty beat up) case, Guild cloth, key for the case and the strap which can be seen on the album cover below. Asking $2000 shipped in US - Paypal F&F. Thanks!

On my home scale, it says 8.2 lbs. feels a little heavier than that to me though - maybe 8.5ish.

Came for the Starfire bass, stayed for the Polka LP cover.
