Up for your buying consideration is my Vintage 1972 Fender Jazz. I purchased her in 1974 and I am the second owner. She was a players bass with 2 fret dressings and could use a refret but she is playable. The original bridge and pickups are long gone, replaced with EMG’s and badass bridge, there has been no internal routing in the electronics compartment, the battery fit in the stock opening. I just installed a new battery and pickups are as quiet as they were 47 years ago, I also found what I believe to be the stock pickup cover from the bass and a stock bridge from a newer Fender bass. She was disassembled and stored in the attic in 1982 because of burglaries and when I switched to 5 string, and forgotten completely as all my further purchases were 5ers. There is no neck warping, and I have never touched the truss rod nut. She is a great canvas for someone who wants to take her back to stock. Reluctantly payment is Paypal, unless there is another method of payment that doesn’t hold funds for 21 days and shipped in Continental USA with a gig bag. She has been mine for 47 years so this is the original neck and body. Please remember this is a piece of Fender history and is 49 years old. Price is 2000 shipped, no trades please, she is priced for quick sale.

Wow. Real nice. What is the weight currently? I know bridge and electronics are adding to it... but it would help to know what it is. Thanks.

I had a member who says he has owned a 72 Jazz before, wanting see to how deep the screw is on the assembled bass. Hoping the first picture answers that question.

I’m on it!

Thank you as always Talkbass, for an outlet to sell sentimental instruments. It gives me great satisfaction that my basses owned most of my lifetime, will have a new life in other members hands, and be put to good use. These basses deserve to be played instead of being stored in an attic, and secure many good memories as they did for me.
