Awesome 1972 Fender P - Great vintage tones and mojo. If you are a purist and looking for an all original 72, this isn’t for you. However, if you’re looking for a killer vintage P with some of The best upgrades on the market, look no further. This one came to me with the finish stripped down to the bare wood - some signs indicate that this was originally in black. The original owner stripped it and the neck, added a badass II, and put some terrible dimarzios in it back in the early 80’s. Specs that I’ve added to bring it back to a road warrior life- I had the great team at MJT do a killer vintage Blonde finish and man did they deliver! Awesome checking throughout, and a great finish feel. I made sure to have them tape off the inner heel of the body for date verification. Tim Tucker of Gibson repair and restoration down in Nashville did a great neck plane, refret and new nut about a year ago. Minimal wear since, as it mostly had tapes on it. I added a Lollar overwound pickup (12.7k) and an Emerson custom wiring harness (CTS 250k, 0.047uf, Paper in Oil caps). This has the narrower neck, not quite Jazz Bass but pretty close- very comfortable. I’m really a jazz guy by heart, hence why I’m deciding to list this. Looking for $2400 shipped CONUS with a basic fender hsc. - dropped to $2199 trade interests: custom shop Jazz- 70-78 jazzes, F-bass, sadowsky, entry level Fodera, USA lakland, USA MTD. Can add cash to any trade to make it work. Also play guitar so open to CS Fender on that side as well. pics from the re-fin process
