I removed the pickups, bridge (with longer G string adjusting screw), bridge and pickup covers from my 1972 P-bass in 1973 and put them in a closet until last year. One of the split pickups was shorted out and I had it reworked by Fralen to match the other one. Everything else is original (bridge cover still has foam/rubber mute intact). Would like to sell everything but having difficulty determining prices. Local shops don’t want to touch them due to the shops perceived values ($300+ each item) and suggest using Reverb. Online searches are all over the place but with the pickup being only half original there are no comparative pricings I can find. Any help with resources or ideas on pricing/selling these items would be greatly appreciated.
Also have a bridge from a 1970’s Fender Telecaster bass (two saddle) in very good condition. Problem is, I bought the Tele bass used and removed the bridge. I have no way of proving the bridge I removed is actually original. Very hard to find any info on it and pictures of Tele basses from that era are not clear/close enough to get a good idea on it either. Want to sell it but, once again, pricing andI don’t want to claim it is original if I can’t prove it. Contacted Fender directly and they have no clue on any of these items claiming their records don’t go back that far. Help or resources would be appreciated.
