:hyper:It pains me to sell this one but it's not getting any love. Vintage 1973 Precision bass with rare 1.5" "A" width jazz size neck. All original except for replacement pots. Plays and sounds like a vintage p-bass should. Smooth low action and truss rod works fine. The headstock has a golden aged tint. She weighs in at 9 lbs on the bathroom scale. No bridge or pickup covers. These are getting harder to find these days. If you want the playability of a jazz neck with the sound of a Precision bass, this is the one. This is a good one. A few dings here and there but no belt buckle rash. Includes a non original Fender tolex style hard shell case. Asking $2300.00 shipped Conus o.b.o. Sorry no trades. Paypal preferred. Additional pics available on request.

Oh man, A necks are sweet. I have a 79 P with an A neck and that makes all the difference if you grew up playing Jazz basses, but love the P sound!

Good luck with the sales!

IMO, that "A" neck makes this bass worth every penny of the asking price, if not more. Somebody is gonna LOVE this bass when they get it.

Just sold my '72 P-bass here on TB. Walnut Brown, alder body with maple neck, plenty of dings and mojo, B neck. Price it sold for was $1675. This bass here is going to fetch a lot of attention. I bet if the OP took some nice close up pics of it in the sunlight, you would really ignite the GAS that is stored up here on TB! Best of luck with this sale! I'll subscribe just because I am curious... Don't see many A necks here at all...

I almost don't want to look at this bass knowing it has an A neck. Makes me cry....
Looks very clean too.
Straight neck all the way up to the higher frets?

bump... LOVE "A" width P-Bass necks! Wish i could grab this from ya too! Whoever gets this bass is a very lucky guy/gal!!! Just can't resist the opportunity to show off my, very modified, NEVER going to sell, "A" width '78. Good luck with the sale!

I also have an "A" neck on my '76 precision.

The width at nut actually measures 1-3/8.

It started life as a fretless (dots ON the frets, up top).
A brass nut and bad ass II later, it is the perfect bass.

it was pretty cheap to :D
