This is an extremely cool bass with great history.
I purchased the bass from the original owner, who lives in the Madison area. He toured with this bass for many years in the Madison based band The Obros. With the wear to prove it, this bass totally looks the part, and plays very well.
It seems most Musicians are found in the dark stain finish (DS), while the natural (NT) is much harder to find.
There are a few disclosures which should be understood:
-This bass has replacement tuners, which were installed many years ago.
-A replacement thumb rest has been added. (not in photos)
-The pots need cleaning, as they are crackly.
-The output jack is screwed to a large washer, possibly indicating a crack in the top? If this is the case, it is very solid. This "repair" looks quite old.
-The original case is included, but is not in great shape. OBROS is stenciled on the front and stickers have been added.
All this said, the bass is a great player and sounds even better. The big single coil pickups are beyond comparison.
