Up for sale is my 1981 G&L L-1000 bass in sunburst over mahogany. I bought this last year from fellow TB'er @Madcity Fats. It weighs in at 10.2 lbs. It is in remarkably good condition given its age and the only real blemish to speak of (other than a few insignificant use-knocks and finish crazing) is on the underside of the neck where I guess there was a bit of wood damaged and was repaired by someone who knew exactly what they were doing. You have to look for it to see it and you can't feel it at all while you're playing. The passive electronics are all original (slot pole pickup!) and everything works perfectly. The bass is set up and plays effortlessly. You won't find beefier tone anywhere. I'd love to keep it, but the fold has gotten way too large as of late and one of the ladies has to go.
I've got a knock-off Fender case that I'll throw in. It's no great shakes looks wise, but it keeps it protected.
$700 shipped to CONUS or I'll knock off a few bucks if you're willing to pick it up.
