1983 E-Series Fender USA P Bass. I picked this one up because it was born the year my wife and I got married.
The bass is in beautiful condition for it's age. The neck is especially clean. There are a number of pics of the grain of the rosewood fretboard; it's just stunning. It does look like the nut was replaced or reglued at some point. The body is still very glossy (hard to take pics). There are some swirls and light surface scratches as should be expected; more on the back than the front. Very hard to capture in pics. No damage, dings, breaks, cracks, etc., that I can see. I don't think the pickguard is original but I don't know. That has more scratches on it than the body. Pickups are active EMG, but no preamp. Black (tapewound?) strings seem to be in good condition
Nut width is 1.75", weight (on my bathroom scale) is 8.5 lbs.
