Just back from a custom finish from Rowyco Kustoms in a beautiful Metallic Pearl. This is the rare 34" non drop D version in perfect working order and frets were recently dressed. The electronics, truss, bridge and preamp 9v all work perfectly. The sound and playability is amazing and will come with a case. $2400 and West Coast add $30

Sweet bass!!! I have a fretless and have to say i prefer these non drop tuner 34" versions. I also prefer the 9volt preamp too. The 18v is nice but they behave pretty differently on the passive modes. GLWTS!

Cool bass, I owned a FCS Drop-D version with an 18 volt Pre for awhile. A very nice playing and sounding bass. I would consider it my, "The one that got away" story. lol. GLWTS.

I saw a post from another TB'er the other day that there is a new website for Kubicki and YES they are taking orders for X-factors again. Pretty awesome.
Yes they are! They start at $5000 base price with solid colors.

wow! that's an awful lot of money. I was talking to Phil before he passed and a custom wood top model wasn't even close to that much. Now this is more than a Sadowsky and others, but for solid color only....seems kinda steep. Makes your beauty even more of a solid deal !!

I think Mike Haney is doing them so I know the quality will be great but all new high end basses are getting so expensive. With all the regulations on wood I'm glad I play graphite!!! Thank goodness for used!!

Yeah ive talked to Mike a few times. He's a hoot. A really great down to earth guy and it definitely will be top notch work. Guess its just sticker shock.

For those interested in this bass, I spoke with Mike Haney regarding the body logo and he said that he'd be willing to sell one of the waterslide decals he uses to make the new basses. Ben at Rowyco quoted me $200 to apply the decal and clear over it, so even with those costs you're under typical Reverb prices for a bass this nice.

The thing that trips me out about this particular bass is the tuning wheels are not black! Mike mentioned that a very few of the Fender Custom Shop basses had the wheels installed before they were painted / anodized (he wasn't clear on which process was used.)

The prices I was quoted were $4800 for solid and $5100 for burst on a new bass...
