Details

For the 3rd time in the last 15 years, I have come to the realization that I am not a six-string bassist.

For your consideration is this rare Modulus Quantum 6 Turbo bass. The pic above is from the Music Zoo of the actual bass up for offer.
  • 6-string
  • 35" scale
  • No truss rod
  • 2TEK bridge
  • Demeter Preamp
  • EMG pups
  • Original hardshell case

I will post new pictures later this afternoon, but for now:

Here's a link to the original Music Zoo ad: 1996 Modulus Quantum Turbo Sweet Spot 6-String Electric Bass - Used | The Music Zoo

...and here's a link to the thread where I purchased this from this forum: SOLD - FS: Modulus 6-string Orange Crush Quantum Turbo

Since I've acquired it in 2014, it has no more than 2 hours of total playing time. It has been either in its' case or in my studio space. Non smoking home. I have never gigged it, nor has it been abused. It is in essentially the same condition in which I received it, with the only blemish near the bridge on the back which is a small paint chip. Otherwise, easily 9.9 out of 10 condition.

Please, no trade requests.

Asking $2300 or best reasonable offer plus actual shipping with a cashier's check made out in my name. WEEKEND PRICE DROP $2175 SHIPPED TO CONUS!!!

Any questions or offers, feel free to ask.

Thanks for looking!

Anything that looks like a blemish (other than the chips by the bridge on the back) are glare/reflection.

For what it's worth, the previous owner had the bass set up by Mike Lull, and I haven't done anything to it since I've had it.

I'll try to find a scale and get a weight soon.

I need you to put this up for sale in a few years, when I have more skills to make use of a 6 string. I have a matching color 4 string version of this, and it's the most playable bass I've owned. It just feels good.

I most definitely don't have 6-string skills, but this bass is pure joy to own and play...if you buy now, you'll have a bass to grow with your skill set for years to come! ;)

Very... Very tempted. I had a Q6 and loved it, I bet this bass just sings with that pickup configuration. If it balances at all like my old Q6 , I bet it's effortless to play. Hmmmmmmm.......

What kind of EMG pickups are these? DC, P, J?

Interesting question that I'm not sure I have the answer to. I always figured that soap bars = humbuckers, but perhaps I'm showing my ignorance. If you know of a way to tell, let me know! If any other tb'ers out there have the answer, don't keep us in suspense...:roflmao:
