I'll regret this one but the car has a list of complaints.
This 55-94 deluxe is nothing short of incredible! I foolishly sold it a decade ago and spent that entire time trying to get it back. It was worth it. Letting go of it again is causing emotional damage.
The 55-94 deluxe is one of the most versatile basses out there and this one being from laklands golden years is a cut above the rest!
The neck is beautifully flames, and the top has beautiful figuring.
The electronics are the sought after "old barts" from the pre-2000 days. They still work great.
the bass is very clean over all. It was refinished about 12 years ago by pat wilkins and has seen very little wear since. The hardware was changed out for all black lakland hardware. There is a finish crack by the headstock. This happened at Lakland while it was in for a tune up. The finish chipped off and they glued it back on.
The wood combo of ash with a maple top and maple/rosewood on the neck is fantastic. Warm but growly and articulate.
the bass includes the original white lakland case that's seen better days. It still functions but is very beat up.
