Looking to restore an older Ibanez SR1015 for giggles......Need to find replacement/upgrade preamp. It has SFR pick-ups that I'd like to keep. It was originally equipped with the old version of Ibanez 3EQ1CVM3.....3 band eq, vari-mid, 9V, mid sweep preamp. Any Help Out there???? I'm starting to think I'm fighting a losing battle....Ibanez dealers in Canada don't even have a clue what I'm talking about........

1998 SR1015 Restoration Project....preamp needed!!

It depends on the sound you are looking for. Bartolini's are good but so are Demeter, Nordstrand, Audera and so on. How much are you willing to spend as well. Just try one and see if you like it.
Did you ever find the preamp? I have the orginal sr800 3EQ1CVM3 3 band preamp (with rectangle circuit board) that I believe is the same on that was stock on this bass?
