2 Cabs, 2 Heads

Just thought this up. I know there are people out there who use 2 heads and/or multiple rigs for different tones(like flea) But what do you think of using a 2x10 and a 2x12 each with their own head(lets just say Avatar and Hartke) so you could eq each cab to your desired settings?

P.S. I'm trying to dream up a new rig so any input if helpful.

I think I have enough trouble keeping one rig going during a gig. I don't know...I've seen guys do that before, especially if they have completely different sounding basses (upright doublers do it more than most), so it's not unheard of, but for me it would be way more trouble than it's worth. You have to mic two cabs and/or run two DI's, which soundmen get all whiny about, too.

I already do this.

I have 2 Hartke 3500's which you can chain (master/slave).
I run a Hartke 410XL on one and a Peavey 215D
(with the scorpions in it) on the other.

This way I have only one pre amp (on the master amp)
and a 10 band EQ and Volume for each cab.

Its nice to be able to dial each cab in how I like it.

Add a stereo fx pedal and it could be alot of fun, but it is a giant pia to move all that stuff around.
