2 channel power amp different ohms

Hi I have been looking into 2 channel power amps and have a question:

Say a power amp puts out 500 watts per channel at 4ohms and 300 per channel into 8 ohms for example.

Is it ok to run a 4 ohm cabinet into one channel and the other channel powering an 8 ohm cab at the same time? Im guessing yes these are made for that but just want to make sure.

No problem. This has been done for decades. I have one Peavey IPR1600 running at 2 ohms for foldbacks on one channel, the other side running 4 ohms.

Yep, should work just fine. It's two separate amp circuits in one box.
