2000 Ibanez BTB500 4-string Value??

First, I apologize for a "whats it worth" thread. I know its an unspoken no-no, but I don't really know the answer to this question, and the only thing worse than posting it here is posting it in the Classified, so please forgive me.

Anyhoo. I have a 2000 Ibanez BTB500WNF 4-string with Boomer strings. Its in a good shape, hardcase, etc. Only dingers are in the beltbuckle area and a couple dinks above the neck pickup, i think from a pick. I got it from a friend of my brothers from his church, so I can't really judge its value from what I paid for it.

So, I am asking the knowledgable folks here, what is the ballpark value of this bass?

Is this it?

I've got a 510e- which is the upgraded version of what you have. I bought it "used" (but the original owner had never played it) for $500 about 3 years ago. I'd try to sell it for that today but doubt I'd get it.

I'd guess that your's is probably worth about $250~$300. You might be able to squeeze $300 out of it if you put it on ebay with a $1 starting bid and zero reserve (since items sold this way seem to get bid up high because of auction frenzy). But I don't think you should count on it.

The reason it's not worth that much is:

-Most players have a pretty low opinion of Ibanez basses. The BtB is a great bass but I think most people would rather own a used MIM Fender then an Ibanez.

- It's got a 35" scale. Most people prefer their 4 strings to have 34"

- There are tons of BtB's on the market. Supply is going to drive down the price consumers would pay.

The Ibanez btb 500 is a made in Japan bass that is on par with the usa quality () Basses. Seriously good Basses. If I could buy 3 of them I would. They hold tune perfectly and are built like a m1 abrams tank
