Hey, thanks for your interest. There’s no push pull control. What you’re looking at maybe the stacked bass/treble pot. Tone wise, the bridge humbucker is very growly and aggressive. The lows are still heavy with great definition. The front pickup gives you a stellar full and smooth PBass tone. When both pickups are blended, the variety of tones that are available become limitless. And yes it’s still for sale.
Do these have downsized bodies and 22 frets like what they were doing with the Jazz Deluxe of the same era? I have a 2000 Jazz Deluxe that is fantastic.... it would be cool to have a P too!
