UPDATED PRICE AGAIN!

UPDATED PRICE!

Been a minute since I have been on TalkBass, but the time has come so I figure I'll sell it when I bought it!

Offering up my 2005 Warwick P-Nut 1 Signature #51/51

Specs:
- #51 of 51 made
- French Walnut Top
- Purpleheart sandwich
- Ovangkol neck (neck-through) with Ekanga veneer stripes, (9 pieces in total)
- Wenge fingerboard with spiral inlays drawn be P-Nut
- Contoured body
- MEC pickups and 3-Band Preamp with Active Bypass and Series/Parallel switching for the big pickup

It’s all stock with the exception of an upgraded Nut (previous owner put a brass JaN3 on it) and I swapped the straplocks for Dunlap ones. It’s in good condition, given it’s almost 20 years old and has been played. No major blemishes, just a few dings here and there and a discoloration when I rest my thumb. I tried to capture as many dings as I could fine in the pic below.

It’s been all over the upper mid-west with me since I got it in 2017… Its also played its fair share of 311 songs when I was in a tribute band pre-COVID. The previous owner (a Pro player in Nashville) told me that he sat it on a stand on the stage at the 311 show in Nashville on 7/31/2016 while he was tech-ing for the opener. Doesn’t impact the value, but it’s a fun aspect of its mojo!

I have all of the original Case Candy, as well as the Certificate of Authenticity and the Registration Card(s). I also tucked a new set of Boomers, in P-Nut’s gauges of course, into the Binder and will leave the leather strap with the Straplocks in the case. It will come in one of the newer Warwick ‘hard-sided soft’ cases.

Playability is so subjective, but for me, the contoured back is just the best! So comfortable! The Pickups and Preamp make tonal possibilities it’s capable of expansive. It has the Warwick mid-rangy growl, but it’s not pronounced and forward as others I’ve heard. The only downside to it (IMO) is that it’s pretty damn heavy… It checks in around 11 pounds on my bathroom scale.

These don’t pop up for sale very often anymore because there just aren’t that many out there…

I’m a big fan of the mojo an instrument brings along with it, so just a little about this one’s history:
The previous owner (a Pro player in Nashville) told me that he sat it on a stand on the stage at the 311 show in Nashville on 7/31/2016. He was tech-ing for the opener and it was too neat of a thing to pass up, so that’s kinda fun lol. I’ve had it since 2017… While I never got it close to the man himself, I played it all over Minnesota and a few times in Wisconsin, Iowa and North Dakota. Its also played its fair share of 311 songs during rehearsals and gigs for the 311 Tribute Band I was in pre-COVID…

I had a P-Nut 3 that I still regret parting with. Sold it just before we opened for Fishbone, lol. This limited edition, signature model would've been mine if listed a few months ago. Just got something but... wow!
Best of luck!

For sure not pristine, as you can see all the little scuffs and dents on the back and sides, but I played it…. I took really good care of it, but it I played it, ya know?

Was also asked about the white flecks on the headstock... That is dust lol. It hung on the wall for about 6 weeks when COVID hit before I slacked the strings and cased it up.

UPDATE: I had it listed on Reverb and someone came in with the full asking price (which was inflated there to cover fees). She's on her way to Virgina now! Thanks for looking!
