2006 USA made Fender 60th anniversary Jazz Bass in excellent condition. I changed the pickups to Seymour Duncan Quarter Pound Jazz pickups. These pickups are a huge improvement in sound (IMO). The bass came stock with the Fender S-1 switch which allows you to run both pickups in the standard parallel setting, or in series (which makes the pickups act like a big humbucker) at the push of a button. I love the way this bass sounds in the series setting, it really helps to cut through the mix in a band setting.
The neck is a "Modern C" shape. The bass weights 9 lbs on the bathroom scale (so likely between 9 & 9.5 lbs). I believe the body wood is Alder and of course a maple neck. The truss rod turns freely and the frets are in great condition. This bass has not seen much playing time.
The block fret markers are vinyl stickers that give the bass a retro 70's look. They are easily removable and has the standard black dot fret markers underneath.
It has a few minor dings (see pics). Small dent on the back of the neck around the 8th fret location. Two small hair sized scratches on the bottom horn (just noticed it today). There may be a few other small imperfections on the back of the body but overall it is in excellent condition.
A Levi's gig bag is included with sale. I will pack it well in a cardboard box.
