Details

I got this bass from Brad Russell who is a phenomenal bassist. He’s used this bass live and on many recordings, one which you can check out here:

It’s a 2007 Warwick Thumb NT 4 String Bass in very good condition. The body was routed by Warwick to install a Kahler Tremolo Bridge, Inlays put in the fingerboard, and has a drop d detuner installed as well (update: it has hipshot ultralites now since one of the original Warwick tuners broke - common problem, still have the drop tuner but not on bass) It's in excellent condition overall but does have a scratch near the bridge and some wear near the neck pickup from thumb placement.

This thing sounds fantastic (which you can hear in the video of Brad playing it) and plays awesome with some really nice action. The Kahler Tremolo is pretty fun too – something you don’t come across every day!

I'm not 100% on letting this one go yet so just reserving the right to get cold feet :)

I'm looking for $notforsale+ shipping (Trade Value Is More). Paypal preferred.

Cash preferred but will be super picky with trades. I'm open to hearing more about MusicMan Caprice + Cutlasses, Spector Basses (I've always wanted to try a MM or a 6 String), Warwick Basses (Not Corvettes), Modulus Basses (or just graphite neck basses in general), Roscoes, MTDs, Sadowsky, Foderas.

How does flipping the Detuner affect the Kahler? Does it stick out on the top side?

When I've used it I haven't noticed it affecting it that much, I'd imagine with heavy use of both depending on your playing style, it may get out of tune a bit with all the back and forth use. Do you mean does the detuner stick out the front of the headstock? If so it does a bit but not much, not too noticeable from the front but its does a tiny bit.

If you use the least amount of string length to wind the tuners(shortest amount of string length, but still enough to wind the strings on)........this will keep the strings in tune better with tremolos. Warwick thumb NT and a Kahler is an awesome mixture.
