Hello Friends! Hello Friends! Well its getting close to that time of year - in just a few short weeks we'll be jamming up a storm of subsonic frequencies!!! I have some Great news, some good news, some not so good news, and some bad news - so lets start from the beginning and let it all slide downhill from there The Great News! This years Denver Bass Bash is FREE!! yes you heard me right its FREE! Our sponsors have stepped up and funded the fees associated with this years bash making it free and open to the public - so spread the word and get all of your friends to join us for a 2 day musical subsonic adventure. All we ask is that you drop a few dollars in the Blue Sky Collective donation bin to help us help Blue Sky! There will be food and drink available during the event as well! The Good News! Any of you that were at the very first bass bash got to see Gregory Bruce Campbell do some amazing things with his abundance of technological goodies - due to unforeseen circumstances Greg was not able to attend the last few events here in Colorado......well Greg is Back! He will be joining us this year for the bass bash, performing on Saturday! So make sure you make it out to see Greg work his magic on bass! We will also have representatives from Nordstrand Guitars and pickups, Circle K Strings, and APC Instruments there to discuss everything from Strings to pickups, from basses to MIDI electronics. So make sure you bring your questions, and spend some time chatting with Mike Cooper(Nordstrand Pickups), Skip Fantry (Knuckle Guitar Works and Circle K Strings), Carey Nordstrand (Nordstrand basses) and all the other product reps! The not so good news: We had 2 cancellations, Paul Rogalski and Ray Reindeau will not be joining us this year due to unforeseen circumstances. Their presence will be missed! Now for the bad news As most of you know, I have been an extremely busy guy. With my day job, my bass building, Circle K Strings, and my music - I just cannot manage this event any longer. I do not have the time and resources necessary to make this event a continuing success. So this year will be the last year of the Denver Bass Bash. It was a fun and enlightening experience. I have met many amazing musicians, made a lot of great friends, and really had a lot of fun - however i just do not have the time it takes to put an event like this together anymore. I encourage all of you to support another bass event here in Colorado the Front Range Bass Slam - Paul R form Mojo Music Academy puts this on ever summer and it is a blast!
