    2013 GIBSON MIDTOWN BASS

This is a 2013 Gibson Midtown semi-hollowbody bass. It's in the gorgeous ebony finish, and features the body shape that is very much like that of a vintage Gibson EB-2, but with a flat top. It's available now in immaculate condition: it's stock, has been stored in it's case, never gigged, and just played around the house. And I'll even throw in the black tapewound strings! It comes with the OHSC and case candy.

Why sell it? I really dig it, but I'm trying to pare down a bunch of things in my life and that means less stuff. I found that I was playing other basses more and wanted to find a good home for this one.

How would you describe the build quality of this Gibson? Fit and Finish?

It's excellent. This was my third semi-hollow bass. I had a couple of Epiphone Jack Casady's before this one. The first had to go back for warranty repair because the neck separated from the body. The second Casady was better, but it also gave me some basis for comparison when it comes to semi-hollowbodies.

The Gibson Midtown feels more solid and substantial than the Epiphones I had. The finish work is great. The neck joint is very solid. And the neck feels really good.

Honestly? I don't know. My main bass is my Fender Roscoe Beck 5 string, as seen in my avatar. That weighs in around 10+ lbs. The Gibson Midtown is definitely lighter, but I don't have a scale that can give an accurate weight.

These typically weigh between 8.5 - 9 lbs. Great basses, very comfy to play.
