Selling my basically brand new Spector Forte 6 string bass #009. Build date 3/16/17 The bass has the following: Solid Flame Maple Body Wings 3 piece maple neck Pau Ferro Fingerboard Graphite inlaid bars in the neck along side the truss-rod 35 in. scale Black Stain Finish Aguilar DCB Pickups Aguilar OBP-2 Preamp Black Hardware Spector Hardshell Case There are no scratches or dings or anything, this bass is basically brand new. The only reason I'm selling is I bought this bass brand new from www.bassstringsonline.com which is now www.fretnation.com sight unseen and had no way of trying it out first and it was custom ordered, I just didn't bond with it and I love my Zon Legacy Elite 6 way more. Street price is $4,299.00, I'm letting go for $2800.00. Updated info: Well from looking at Spector's website it doesn't look like they are selling U.S. models direct anymore, I don't know if this has to do with Korg buying out Spector, correct me if I'm wrong but I'm not seeing it on there micro-site and it look's like you have to go directly thru a dealer now, anyways I've looked at a couple of dealer's and it look's like there pricing is still $4,299.00 for a new Spector Forte 6. I'm not looking for any trades, thank's. If you have any questions please feel free to get a hold of me. Will only go thru PayPal, shipping & insurance fees will need to be covered by the buyer.
Honestly curious because I see this alot... why buy a brand new $4000 bass, never play it, then sell it at a substantial loss?
I bought the bass and I'm not bonding with it, plain & simple, I love my Zon Legacy Elite VI way better.
So I had taken the bass to UPS to check on shipping info for somebody and while I was there I had the bass by itself weighed on there scale and the actual weight for this bass is 11.35 lbs not the previous estimate of between 8 & 9 lbs that I figured when I weighed it on my home bathroom scale.
That’s awesome for a sixer. I could send a pic of my last six string Dingwall to establish my bona fides...
What is RUDE is somebody that has nothing else better to do than come on this thread and make the LAME comment you just made TROLL!!!! When I bought this Spector there was no way of trying it out in advance, I bought the bass brand new thru a online dealer (Bass Strings Online), great to deal with at the time but unfortuately they are out of business. The bass sounds AWESOME, but I love my Zon way more so I had ordered another Zon VI that I need to pay for, that is why I'm selling my Spector, plain & simple.
No need to explain yourself to us gassers! I’ve bought and sold a few 4K+ basses. It’s part of the fun and the quest. Sounds like you found your bass in the Zon and that would never have happened without a few gas pangs. Woods, scale length, necks, string spacing... all that personal choice can’t be figured out without hands-on-experience. GLWTS!
