What are your thoughts on the latest rendition of the the custom designed Ibanez Preamps with Nordstrand Big Singles? I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt that they are stellar and a perfect match covering any ground I need and more, however I remember a lot of threads on folks switching to Aguilar for more clarity and better tone. Of course this is all subjective, what is your take on Ibby's custom preamp?

2020 Ibanez Custom Preamp vs Aguilar OBP

I think the stock pre offers anything you would need for live use. The Aguilar stuff sounds better to me but not enough to go through the trouble. Not sure how many people have heard the latest Ibanez pre.
FWIW I use my 2018 Ibanez SR premium passive and don't feel I'm missing a thing once I have my external pre set. I use the tone control and balance knob for any tone adjustments I want. Sounds better to me than any onboard pre I've tried.
