211-2 fuse/lamp 4 x 10

Hi, I've got a fender professional series 4x 10. One night I was giving it full beans and it cut out, I have since opened it up to find a 41mm long "211-2"
(RUSH)
Fuse/lamp was blown inside, does anybody know firstly what this is called and secondly where to get one in Glasgow?

Usually the fuse lamp that's installed inside a cabinet is for protecting the tweeter/high range drivers. I fear that your total cut out signals a far greater problem. What amplifier were you driving the cabinet with??

You could try calling Fender and see if they'll send you one.

A "211-2" is a standard 12volt automotive "dome" lamp. As Paul said above they are used to protect tweeter horns from burn-out and have no effect on the cone speakers. Check with Fender, 12volt may not be the correct rating so always check with the manufacturer.

Hi boys, I used it with a 300watt Bassman pro head, then I after the speaker fuse went I used the Bassman with an orange 4 x 10 cab, the Bassman has since blown a transformer (call me lucky).
I'm going to buy a TC BH800 amp this weekend and was planning on pairing it with the Fender 4 x 10.

Well if the Bassman has since blown the OT that would indicate you burned out the 410's cone speakers (open voice coils). Open speakers on a tube amp under use kills output transformer (OTs). SS amps can live without a load on the output (except the Hellborg) just fine, tube amps spells big trouble.

Yes I feared the worse, however there was a spare in the cab, it still works fine but was looking for a spare to have in case it blows again mid-gig.
