Hi guys. Did I hit sawdust time with this model?

My REAL question is about porting. Can you have reasonable velocity showing on a graph; yet the physical box still exhibit chuffing? IDK, above my knowledge base... seems 1.5" (even though it's x22") is pretty slim on 2x12 at 340 watts.

Would rather not discuss the driver. Let's just say its design and manufacture are legit for sure.

Thanks for any assistance

Make the port larger, but not as deep

Yeah its already over 8" deep. I don't think a longer port is a good idea. It may be fine, but I'm trying for a compact box. It's already looking 14 or more inches deep, accounting for baffle set back and leaving space at the end of the shelf inside there.

The local motor repair place has been getting some large stuff lately apparently. I picked up two big pallets that had a 1/2" ply top for me. So looks like I have enough for all my panels. Heading for a mock up in the next week or so then! If it sounds good I'll be tracking down some better stuff for a final build on it. Yea hey.
Thank you.

Hi, guys.
Ok; so yaknow that phrase: "measure twice, cut once"?

Ahem. Yeah...

I have a tangential question regarding my first post. Would a few vertical round dowels supporting a shelf port change the tuning much? Would it be different than just a 3/8" brace in the center?

Thanks.
