$27 Fender Bass Gig Bag

It's the FB405, which is a bit thin IMHO. It's a good price, but I recommend the FB620 or even the FB610 over this if you're going for a Fender gig bag.
Agree. I have a Fender FB1225 (from Sweetwater), and like it a lot (took the neck rest/cushions out)...though the material on one of the shoulder straps started fraying and separating (I gig all the time). I was outside of the two-year warranty range, dern it. In true punk fashion, I wrapped both the top portion of the shoulder straps in black gaffer tape. Voilà.

All of the Squiers are riding around in FB620s, usually can be had for around $50-60. Padded, pockets, with a holder for the butt end strap button and a cradle for the neck.

5mm padding is only good for the way home from the store, or for storage in a closet.
Or selling an instrument in a face to face transaction. Years ago, I bought one of these when they were priced at about $20 for the reason I stated above. Yes, a thin padding, but it was enough for my deal.

However, I would never ship an axe in of these.
