Tough to decide. My head says to keep the two Fender Elites (4 and 5) plus my short scale. My heart says to keep the Elite 4, the Sire V7, and the short scale. I'd be without a 5 string then but I rarely have need for one. If I keep the Elite 5 and ditch the SS instead, I will have a hand cramp the following day and wish I had the SS back.

This relevant since I have recently sold a few basses and a cabinet. If I could only have three, I would have to fretted basses and one fretless. Maybe a dream scenario would be my Super 5, an Ibanez EHB 1005SMS (a short scale five for travel,) and possibly buy my old Pedulla back from the guy who has it now. The more I think about, I should buy a Status fretless neck for my SBMM SR5, and possibly upgrade the tuners. That would cost about the same as the Pedulla, and would give me a bass with a tone I would like even more than the Pedulla.:bassist::thumbsup:

I actually have only 3 that tickle all my current fancies (is that a word?). 2 US Fenders, a Precision 4 and a Jazz 5, along with an old fretless Warwick Corvette.
Years ago, I had as much as 8 and a few guitars. I don’t know if it’s my age, current market, more bills or the era of Covid, but I just stopped chasing the GAS induced dragon.
I will admit though, I still have one weak spot… finally owning a Stingray. I’ve wanted one forever, even when hockey stick neck basses were on everyone else’s Christmas wishlist.

Roscoe Classic P (passive) with TI flats
Sadowsky Metro 5JJ (active/passive) with stainless steel rounds
Roscoe Century 5 (Bartolini soap bars and pre) with nickel rounds

That's my current line up and I can cover most any gig. I used to have a fretless. It was probably my nicest bass, actually. I thought I "needed" one, but I rarely grabbed it and no one misses it. The 3 I have are awesome basses. I have a hard time deciding which one to use.
