3 Wood Challenge: Esquire!

This looks like a Flintstones Bass! ;)
Gotta love watching a hunk of raw wood become a useful instrument. I'm subbing this thread - Keep it coming!:hyper:

Thanks! With all of my screw-ups so far, I'm not too sure about "useful instrument", but It'll probably make noise :D . I should have some more progress pics coming, but I've been busy, I'm building a second Telecaster body for one of my friends from my extra oak.

Okay, progress is slowing down, by a lot. I've only been able to do minute improvements on it, as its been nearly 100 degrees all week and I work in an uninsulated metal shop. I've got my pickup and wiring, all my routing done, neck profile completed, and am awaiting a truss rod. I'll have to scrounge up some more cash to buy a piece of ebony for the board. I did save a bit o cash by using a El Crappo pickup that I got for free and fabricating my bridge. I made it using a light switch junction box and a slot cutter. I've decided to finish it in a surf/seafoam green with black hardware. Some progress pics are on their way.

So, it's almost been a year since I updated this. I've been busy with bands, school, and other projects and left the esquire half painted in my corner to sit. It's back to an empty summer, so I'm going to resume work on the esquire. I'll get some more pics of it now, since the fretboard was glued on (badly) and quite a bit has been done to it.
