$300m gig... Ha!

My band the Expresso Bongo Orchestra has a huge gig this Saturday night. It's huge for us anyway - about 700 folks. It's at Birmingham's International Convention Centre to mark the completion of our beautiful city's new £188m ($300m) library. It should be quite some crowd including local celebs and the inevitable politicians.

Sorry for the spam as I mentioned this elsewhere, but had to post it again because I'm getting all excited. That doesn't happen too often these days.

Thanks, mate - we're angling for that too, of course. Will be doing some hopefully very discreet promotional pushing during the evening with flyers and cards et cetera.

The whole gig setup reminds me a little of the plot to Tarantino's "Inglorious Basterds" - it's not just how many you have there, it's who they are. But these guys will get targeted in a more positive way, one hopes.

Thanks mate! I think we actually played a blinder, it really went well and I'm pretty confident we'll get a lot of follow up from this one as we had quite a few people asking for band info.
