Try swapping the hot and ground leads at the jack.

Thanks, I appreciate the kind words! Unfortunately there were other wiring mistakes that went beyond the jack terminals. Got them figured out now!

I spent a decent time getting familiar with this bass last night, really like the tones from the QP especially rolled off. Brings out the low end in a fantastic way! Working on some demo video ideas to showcase this thing, keep watching this thread for more soon!

Funny, actually after I had pencilled out the shape of the headstock I kinda thought for a second I might have liked a 2x2, but the tuners I bought were in-line so I scratched that. Plus, this isn't an RD, just inspired by, and I always liked the shape of the Thunderbird headstock and favored that in my original design sketches.

And 2x2 is more of a pain to build. (Needs to be angled back, with a scarf joint, etc...)

I just switched from flats to rounds to test the spectrum. Noticing my playing style changes based on string choice (using a pick with rounds), and confirming the neck dive is legit, it's pretty comfortable using my plucking hand as an anchor and mute to offset the dive. Sounds aggressive and full, and once I get a legit demo going I'll be sure to showcase the variations!

My '77 RD is 11.5-ish pounds, so neck dive isn't really a problem. (But fatigue is). What wood did you use for the body? (I only doomscrolled through the pics, I didn't read the whole thread).

Douglas Fir and Pine, probably weighs about 9lbs.
