I have been extremely happy with my little GK MB110. Haven't played the 8" version but it would certainly be worthwhile considering.
You won't find much about them, here, on TB but EBS has some respectable little combos. I was pretty impressed when I played through their 8". The tone reminded me of my TH350. In addition to the frilly features most of the bedroom amps have it has a direct out, which sets it apart from most.
