3Leaf Audio Club - Episode 2

Update:
3EA3B3AF-DBE2-4060-9600-D36952617546.jpeg

octabvre mkii is so hard to beat.

Have you tried a 3? I think there's more tonal range, and sub headroom, but the mk2 always seemed smoother, and less dramatic, better for octave only for sure
When I had both, I couldn't really say there was a difference in the tone versatility between them, only that the MkIII seemed a little snappier. I much prefer the vol/vol over vol/blend setup, though.

Yes, that's what I liked the most. I noticed full ccw/cw just seemed farther on both ends with the mk3. The sub end definitely clipped pedals down the line using the mk3 easier so I assumed the output is higher

I agree, the mkiii definitely goes deeper on both ends of the tonal spectrum but something about the attack on the mkii gives it a better feel imo, it has a creamier quality that I prefer.

Price drop to the best price I've seen in a while on the You're Doom in the classifieds. Not affiliated.

If you're on the fence, don't get too caught up in it not being a Doom 2. I've had mine for quite a while and although someday I'd like to try a Doom 2 to compare, I've passed up plenty of them because the original is very good and basically does what I want anyway.

Like I said in my earlier post, I’m still trying to give the benefit of doubt… Technically this is only the second full week of June. I guess that would put shipping to this week it’s only Wednesday, going by Spencer’s post on the 3Leaf site.

That said, this IS starting to make me a bit more….. unsure. Obviously some personal things are rightfully prioritized over business and I hope Spencer’s okay, but I did just reach out with a friendly email to check on status. :)

5sg.

So, we’re officially into the third week of June. Anyone get a shipping notification yet? Not trying to be a complainer.. was just hoping for a little more reliability when dropping that kind of coin on an octave pedal.

Unfortunately this is to be expected. He'll come through... eventually.

They may still be sorting out the high gain/standard doom2 confusion...

why that effects the people who only purchased octabvres is strange though

Yeah, they'll ship - I hate this market right now, so many pre-sales. I forget sometimes the outstanding builds I have at one moment.. At least this clears up the confusion of what I asked, why call it a pre-sale if your posted ship date is literally days after the drop date. Putting a date on things these days is so iffy

I also wish my Doom2 was already here with me, but let's face it... We don't deserve any better.

If we really need a freaking limited edition boutique bass effect pedal from a one man company, then ladies and gentlemen we don't deserve any better than to check our emails and talkbass for news on our precious purchases way too many times a day.

Prices for everything are skyrocketing in my country right now, still I bought a pedal that after shipping and taxes will cost me around 450 Euros which is quite a lot, a LOT. The only bass related purchase I made in the last 14 months was a used EHX Small Stone which i bought for 25 Euros, so... and my wife said sure I could buy it because she knows how much and hard I worked during the whole nightmare that is still not finished where I live.

Anyhow, if it sounds right when I turn it on, the price will be forgotten soon, and I hope it will bring me joy for many years on.

The only thing I'm really curious about is if there will be a ghost 3leaf on reverb before mine is through customs and delivered and in my hands.
