I'm glad that he's making larger batches next year...I'd love to support the guy, but I'm never quick enough or am working/driving when they drop. I hope he comes out with some new stuff!
Good luck to everyone trying to snatch a DOOM2. I'd love to get one of the new versions with the reworked mids, tone, and gain. Also the colour is amazing and I need to have it lol.
It’s sold hundreds (couple thousands?) since it was first introduced, it sounds great and there’s huge demand for hundreds (thousands?) more.
I bought mine maybe 2 years ago, I don’t recall, a relative bass newb, when it was just sitting in stock after I heard demos and chatted with Spencer over email.
His stuff has exploded since, I know. For a reason, no?
interesting that I bought (and then stupidly sold) mine back prior to the 2 when it was in stock and seemed like it would always be there as a “oh well I’ll get another later”…
Now I’ve kinda become a FOMO with some of my purchases lately just in case they do get hard to get in future!!

Is there any modification of the circuit on this Doom 2 batch? Is the « reworked » circuit only the high gain mode?
Based on your earlier posts, I doubt you will. If you had liked the standard version, then I could see you liking the HGM a bit more or a bit less. But since you didn't like the standard version, I suspect you won't like the revoiced version with HGM because the pedals have the same fundamental voice. Yes, they do sound different, but not night and day different.
Yes. It has the same revoicing as the Blood Red version.
No. It is not only HGM. While the revoicing is inspired by some of the tweaks from the HGM (different crossover frequency, etc.), this version can still be requested to have a HGM performed. See the July 4th update for details.
The funniest would be if we are presented with the bag of knobs only at checkout. People will have no time to think…and that pause will cause crushed dreams. This thread would be so lit the rest of the day!

It should be the same as the last. I don't think it was a mode, but more of an extension to the range that was already there.
