403 forbidden error nginx

Looking into this, it appears we have more work to do on the server. Lots of errors today
Happens to me now, too.
Admins: I have found that it happens when I am using a VPN, which I do 100% of the time when browsing time from any location with public WiFi (coffee shop, airport, etc.) because computer security is important to me. Like the OP, I can access the site via my cell phone (and my home internet connection), but neither is a reliable option for me.
I suspect that there is some sort of "ban suspicious IP address blocks" setting, which might seem like a no-brainer to enable until you realize the consequences. And I will add that there are likely a lot of other people who cannot access the site now, but can't report it either because all they get is an HTTP 403 error and may lack the technical skills to understand why it's happening.

The windows 10 machine woke up, the windows 7 machine still gives error. Same browser version, caches cleaned.
I first saw the "403 Forbidden Nginx" this afternoon on one of my windows computers, while my other laptop and Android cell phone have no such problem.
Any help appreciated.

The VPN service I use has multiple points of presence, but I was using the one in Las Vegas last night and this morning. The IP address starts with 45.89, in case that helps you find it in the logs and/or configuration.
I switched to one in Atlanta just now and that is working. That one is somewhat slower, but it does work (and I confirmed again just now that the one in Las Vegas is still blocked).

Seems certain ip addresses are getting blocked. Install the tor browser and you can get in since it changes your outgoing ip address.
Same ‘403 forbidden nginx’ error here. It happens when using any device or browser through my home internet without VPN. Does not happen if I connect through my phone using cell data instead of home internet, or through my employer’s VPN.

Having the same problem with anything on my home network. Works fine on mobile. Subbing for updates.
