4th of July Greetings

A little introduction:

I have been watching and learning from TalkBass for years, and have finally gotten around to the introduction post! I did not start playing the bass until age 60, started on EBG, quickly transitioned to EUB, and now almost a decade layer still playing pizzicato EUB and enjoying every minute. Self instruction, professional instruction, played with some great musicians and with some musicians that made me, lets say, not feel so inadequate. Have been steadily playing in a jazz trio, although Covid has put a damper on the gigs, but I guess will give more time to TalkBass! I have also learned some luthier info from TalkBass, and have completed at least 30 builds (some good, some not so good, which in itself is a great learning tool). I am certainly not an expert at either playing of building, but I have learned a few things from personal experience that some my find of value that I may contribute in the future.

Happy Fourth as well! Glad you’ve found your voice, so to speak!
Welcome aboard- I thought I’d joined years ago (2014??), but maybe just all the lurking I forgot or something, so “joined” for real a month or so ago! Carl
