Double Bass 5/8 Bass Case

I'll be interested to hear what you come up with, Mooradian Cases are no longer in business. I have a 5/8ths Mirecourt. My case came from Reunion Blues when they were made in San Francisco. Glen Cronkite made them.
Glen is still in business, his cases are of premium quality, on the heavier side and a 5/8ths would definitely be a custom order. I'm sure their are other options, but I'm not familiar with them.

OK..I'll let you know...The Luthier I bought it from < Doug Heydon in Springfield, OR
actually suggested the 5/8 size to SHEN...he has a deal to get their factory 2nds so he can
set- them up and offer a good bass for a reasonable price...HE said he would check with
his suppliers to see what is available and I will let you know what we find.

YMMV, but a customer had me remove the wheels from this model of case after the backing plates dug into and damaged the back of his bass.

I have no problems with the Eastman cases themselves, in fact I think they’re quite good. Just saying that the wheeled version might cause problems...

Another vote here for Messina. I have a large Shen 190 for which a stock 3/4 bag was a bit too snug. Messina has a ton of different templates that they use, and have you verify by measurement. You get to choose colors, pocket and handle placement, etc as part of the standard price. I love mine, best bag I’ve ever had. yes it costs more than a stock bag, but if you transport your bass often and want to protected well, without struggling to get it in the case every time, then go with Messina. Their production time was very quick - I think it was shipped to me in a few weeks as I recall. Great company to work with also -
