5 or 6??!! Please help!

35" scale 5 is my main bass. I've had several 6 strings in the past, but they never work good live for me. However I am planning to get a 34" scale 6 this year (Carvin), which will be my stay at home practice bass. They are really fun to practice on but I will always use my 5 string live. I just don't need the high C live!

I a five guy but I love sixers but the issue for me is the neck is too wide. I know over time that straining and stretching won't be good for my hands I have shorter sausage fingers.

So the last ten years I have played fives. Maybe one day if I have money to spare I will get a sixer as an auxiliary bass. Try them you can't go wrong either way
