5 string asat bass

@Ric5 and others with such knowledge

If I got a g&l asat with a 1 and 3/4 inch neck width, could it be converted to a 5 string? with a new g&l bridge, nut, and tuner? Where would you put the tuner on the headstock?

Just a thought here, I am really into that look and that sound.

Regarding your conversion, the nut width would be fine but throwing a G&L 5-string bridge on there would not work. The spacing of it would put the B/G off the sides of the neck. You would have to go with an aftermarket bridge with narrow string spacing. The schaller roller bridge is one used quite often on Ric5's builds. It tends to put the strings pretty close to the edge of the neck, but if you can deal with it, it works out well.
