Maybe consider a warmoth build. If you ask for lightweight roasted swamp ash and roasted maple neck, then use lightweight everything else. No guarantee on the 8 lbs, but would definitely not be heavy.

You could look for an old Carvin BB75, fits the criteria pretty well.

The Sandberg California VM5 is 1.77 mm (at the zero fret).

Light weight - mine is around 8 lbs.

String spacing is adjustable from 18 - 19.5 mm.

It has a very slim, easy playing profile. And sounds amazing too.

(I also highly recommend Valenti, although the Sandberg costs less, but is still very good quality)

What wood is yours made of? I know they make a super light bass but it’s only available as J-J or J-MM, not P-MM.

The body is alder and has a maple neck with pau fero fingerboard.

I'm honestly not a fan of the superlight models. I don't think they sound as good. But if you need a light bass, they are hella light.

Yamaha TRBX605. 1.75" nut, 34" scale length, 19mm string spacing. Mine is just slightly over 8 pounds. It's so well made for its price point too. The 505 is very similar, but its body is mahogany rather than alder with a maple cap, so it might come in a bit heavier. Very easy to play. [Photo was me trying to see if I liked the red strap on my Yamaha bass ] Note: Specs are stating 18mm string spacing, but my caliper disagrees and reads 19mm. I just checked.

Thanks. The light angle on the body washed out the photo a bit and the headstock looks a little darker than in person. It's taken some time to develop a deepening of color, but looks really nice. I liked the Amber version too, but the natural just spoke to me.
