Has there ever been a production-model 5-string Fender Jazz unlined fretless bass?

5-string fretless Jazz?

I don't think so. There's the Steve Bailey six string but that's it as far as production unlined Fenders with more than four strings as far as I know.
Nope - never by Fender. That’s why I had to build my own…
No. But Sire and Sadowsky make great ones. RSD import Sadowsky models sound really good. Better than any B string on a Fender that I ever heard.
Lull, Sadowsky, etc. will make you one. Fender has never made one as far as I'm aware of, and IME with their 5ers and fretless basses that's a good thing.
Look at the headstock. It says Warmoth. So he definitely got the neck from Warmoth, and chances are he bought the body there too.

That body is a 2014 Squier VM with 60’s pickup spacing.
Earlier this year, I actually got a 2022 CV 70’s body and another Warmoth neck, this time fretted.

Here are videos of me and another TB member playing my Roger Sadowsky Design JJ5 fretless. These run $949, I paid $972 for mine because I had the store put Ernie Ball flats on it before shipping. I have owned a few fretlesses and this is the best one ever.
