5 string set for tuning to A standard

Just wondering if anyone had any recommendations for a relatively high tension set of roundwounds for tuning to A standard, hoping to avoid having to splash out on a multi-scale bass if possible!

Only the core wire is coated, not the outer winding.

I do, it's worse on guitar than on bass but I've always gone for coated roundwounds for this reason
