5 String Set w/High C vs Low B?

Anybody know of a complete fiver set like this, or is it necessary to buy the C string individually? What would an 'average' size be for such a string and where can I get one (flatwound)? I have seen a flatwound D'A .032 and a TI .033, but I'm guessing those are actually super light G strings. Even so, is it possible (advisable?) to tune a very light G up to C? I obviously need advice from an experienced 5er who is familiar with the E-A-D-G-C tuning concept. Please advise...THANKS!

I'd advise against tuning up a G to a C - I broke a few strings this way. I use Elixers right now, but they are roundwounds - is that what youre looking for?

Yes, the elixers come in a standard 4 string set, then you buy the extra low B or hi C - I think its a great way to sell strings.

a flatwound c string. this took me a while to find, a long while.

they have them at juststrings.com but only d'addario chromes. the other option is a set of 6 string flatwound labellas, that are $60 a set. the daddarios are really nice though. i forget but i think the guage is something like .35

The D'A Chrome I found at JustStrings is a .032. Will that tune up to a C?

I only use flatwounds and on 4 strings I typically use D'A Chromes or TI JF, but willing to try others if they have a high C 5 set.

I am pretty sure that you can get TI Flats with a real C string... I prefer them over the chromes in any case..

I found a six string set with a C, is that what you meant?
