5 strings bass

I would like to buy a 5 strings bass for a budget under 1000,00$ I tried a Yamaha TRBX 605 and a Ibanez SR 405 also a Mexico Jazz. Then i tried a P-bass american and after that a Sire jazz bass . I would like to try a Musicman The Ray 25 CA 700,00 $( Can) and a Sterling Ray 5 450,00 $ (Can). I did not try the classic vibe 70 Squier jazz bass.

I have a Fender Geddy Lee 4 strings jazz bass that i really like a lot.
I have a 4 strings P-Bass (Squier ) 220,00 $ considering the price it's a very good bass.
I did not really like the Mexico 5 strings it sounded Muddy. I was impress by the yamaha and the Ibanez. The Sire was very great too but the passive mode sounded weak.

I would like to have your opinion on The Musicman Ray 25 Ca and the Ray 5. Also It would be appreciated if you can give your comment on the jazz bass classic vibe 70's (Squier).

I play some songs from Stevie Wonder and other songs tuned in E flat and tired of tunning in Eb or changing basses. I gave a shot with the drop D and to me it's too much finger gymnastic.

The Michael Kelly Element 5ers are being closed out. I played one last night at a local music store, I was really impressed. Very hot jazz tone. If you dig your Geddy, might be worth looking at one of these.
